Monday, Nov 3rd, was the 15th anniversary of Lev Termen's passing into the Aether. This has been such an historic week, I was not able to do him the honor of a memento until today. Gosh, 15 years already, that man changed our lives. We cannot let him be forgotten!
Hope you have a moment this week to think of him.
Keep On Playing!

We got an update for our RCA registry page.
It was a perfectly timed reminder of a truly rare and valuable theremin that sold at auction several years ago. You can even make arrangements and play this RCA at the The American Museum Of Radio and Electricity in Bellingham WA.

In honor of Bob Moog's birthday, Amin Bhatia released a new CD titled “Virtuality”.
The all electronic epic album is dedicated to Bob Moog, and a portion of each sale will be donated to the Bob Moog Foundation.
The major piece on the album is "Bolero Electronica" an electro-arrangement of the Ravel classic, which traces the evolution of electronic with authentic historic electronic instruments (many built by Bob) featuring performers from across the world in a virtual long distance orchestra.

Jesse Jones has created a ghostly piece about the ideologies prevalent in Russia at the time Lenin was sending Lev on tour with the newly invented theremin.

2007 was quite a year for the Theremin!
Just as the year turned we listened to previously unheard recordings by Clara Rockmore in her Lost Album and later in the year, to lighten our bleak midwinter, we heard long lost strains fromLucie Bigelow Rosen. 2007 had a great kick-off with Project: Pimento's new album debut onSpellbound.

ThereminWorld is happy to announce a special holiday gift from Kip Rosser: a copy of what may be the only known commercial recording of Lucie Bigelow Rosen still in existence.
Soon after Lucie Bigelow Rosen became a student of Leon Theremin in 1930, she and her husband enabled his continued work by providing housing and laboratory space as well as financial backing.
Lucie Rosen became a very active concert performer on the theremin and worked closely with Leon Theremin on customizations to the instruments he built for her.
